DOH! Horrible Connection Problem!

Well... after weeks of struggling, battery pulls, hard resets, 147 prl updates, 200 hours of "tech support" etc... I was finally sent a new
Sprint HTC Hero.

The excitement was short lived. Still had MAJOR problems with
the phone constantly switching between Ev and 1x.

My buddies Hero worked fine at my house. Mine didn't!

The "new" Hero has an even worse connection problem than my other
one did!

It stayed on 1x for about 5 hours today. I couldn't use the net, apps,
etc... So I called support yet again...

I pick up yet another (3rd) Hero tomorrow... Let's see how this goes...

I went through 3 of them myself,and IMO they all seem to have there issues,this one still has issue but it is bearable but if it gets worst I am going to the dark side and will root, good luck

Will rooting stop the data connection problems?? Will the phone run blazing fast?

Some will say yes and some will say no, it is a question of preference, you will have to try and if you don't like it you can always restock it.
