Dust or No Dust?

Do you have a dust issue?

I understand the dilemma with the dust under the screen. I just wish to know how rampant a problem it is before I recommend the phone to others. I currently have no dust issue (with Google version).

Can you please respond whether you have the dust issue or not.
 
no dust issue in my first week. been in and out of pocket day/night

i will update though because i can see where dust CAN get in :rolleyes:

i have the non branded google battery door version
 
I am hoping the results of this survey over the next few days will put some relativity to the whole dust issue. Is it a huge problem, or a lingering issue to be placed with other defects? This would quantify if the dust issues are really just a defect in some models. It would also justify those models being replaced under the provision that they are defective and not the norm!
 
i've had my hero(with google in the back)for 3 weeks, and nope, no dust, and hopefully it stays like that

KNOCK ON WOOD!!!:D
 
Had mine since day one,exchange it one time in the 30 day period and I have the hero without Google and never had a dust issue..
 
I have dust under my screen and I have with Google. I actually contacted HTC today about it. They said they were aware of the problem, but they haven't fixed it on the production line. They are still working on a solution.

I am surprised by this as the phone has almost been out for two months.
 
I have dust with google phone...in fact, there was a spec of dust on the drawer soft key right out of the box
 
dust - both in my first "w/o google"

and now in my "with google" (but i kept my "google-less" batt cover! heh!)



first phone had it real bad - upper-right hand corner and lower-left -- a lot of dust - very easy to see

and now the replacement phone has developed a small amount in the upper-LH corner

it seems like the dust comes on really quick.. then no further increase

i was watching for dust all along w/ my first phone - then suddenly i saw it --- same with this phone
 
I had dust in my first Hero (got it the day it came out). Then I got a replacement shipped to me and have not had dust since in the new one. Hopefully it stays that way.

Does anyone know the exact cause of the dust? If it
 
I have dust in upper left corner and all across the bottom. Most is concentrated in the bottom left. It was not bad when i first got the phone but is getting generatively worse :mad:
