Dust or No Dust?

I understand the dilemma with the dust under the screen. I just wish to know how rampant a problem it is before I recommend the phone to others. I currently have no dust issue (with Google version).

Can you please respond whether you have the dust issue or not.

I had the dust issue on my first Hero with Google.

i will update though because i can see where dust CAN get in

I am hoping the results of this survey over the next few days will put some relativity to the whole dust issue. Is it a huge problem, or a lingering issue to be placed with other defects? This would quantify if the dust issues are really just a defect in some models. It would also justify those models being replaced under the provision that they are defective and not the norm!

Got my phone 3 weeks ago with Google on the back and I got dust. I also jus carry my phone in my pocket.

I have dust under my screen and I have with Google. I actually contacted HTC today about it. They said they were aware of the problem, but they haven't fixed it on the production line. They are still working on a solution.

I am surprised by this as the phone has almost been out for two months.

and now in my "with google" (but i kept my "google-less" batt cover! heh!)



first phone had it real bad - upper-right hand corner and lower-left -- a lot of dust - very easy to see

and now the replacement phone has developed a small amount in the upper-LH corner

I have dust in upper left corner and all across the bottom. Most is concentrated in the bottom left. It was not bad when i first got the phone but is getting generatively worse
