Eris keyboard still lags on 2.1. Are you kidding me?

I turned it off on mine, but now I can't remember or figure out how I did it. I am heavily medicated right now, I may be able to remember when my head clears.

Any more on this OTD? i mean are you still medicated ?

I actually am, but I looked all over and I can't find it. I even reinstalled spare parts to see if it was in that, but no joy. I am starting to wonder if mine isn't screwed up somehow.

Get into where the keyboard is on the screen, and you're typing something.

Hit the little 'gear' next to the space bar, basically your 'Settings' menu.

hit Text Input

Third option from the bottom is 'Vibrate when typing'.

Turn it off.

This works for everything but the dialer on the phone.

I use the "Vanilla" android keyboard....... always used Swype before that ....HTC keyboard sucks....

definitley seems alot faster to me and no lag..... but I am not sure how to install it on a non-rooted phone.... before I switched I used swype which was better then stock HTC keyboard, but still had a little lag.....

Long shot but do you have your ringer on vibrate? I keep my phone on vibrate most of the workday and when I use the dialer, it vibrates as I dial the #s. If I have the ringer on, then I get the tones when I dial.

I tried this too. No dice. I don't have vibrate on. I downloaded Dial One and the lag has gone away.

I'd like to find an app that works well for an incoming call. I'm not sure if one exists or not.

I was having a lot of trouble with lagging, but I disabled the Vibrate When Typing function, and it doesn't lag anymore.

Mine lags mostly on google voice. And Landscape mode, really the most annoying thing about my phone since I got my refurb. Other than that its fine.
