...so don't give up on your phone!
My sis dropped her phone in the sink (toddler was handing it to her and she wasn't concentrating). She immediately grabbed it out and removed all the removable parts (sim, covers etc) and dried it with paper towel
She then propped it in front of the hair dryer (on a low setting about 10 inches away from it) for 2 hours and it then went into the airing cupboard for 2 weeks.
It is now in full working order again.
The phones are obviously more robust than we give them credit for
