getting random texts and phone calls for someone else all the time

For the past month I have been getting random calls and text messages from the same people with no way of blocking them eventhough applications. When I spoke to 2 of the people on the phone and told them they had the wrong number they told me the person they are trying to get a hold of just called or texted from my number. What is going on?

Call up verizon and tell them the situation. they should help and if anything give you a new number.

Sounds like a carrier problem, or they've been given the wrong number.

If not a carrier problem, then it's most likely a prank.

So what apps are you using? I have had success blocking texts just using a built-in feature of handcent.

If it is the same number, as has been said, call up your provider and have them block it. Say you are being harrassed. They should be able to see a call and text log of all unwated calls/texts.

Problem fixed and it had to do with mercury being in retrograde and law enforcement dealt with the issue and keeping logs and is doing investigation on the callers and their logs..thanks everyone.
