Gridlines in background

I have dark colored grid lines in the background of every screen on the HTC One M8, and can not figure out how to get rid of them. Very faint, but it shows up in the background of every app, photos, screens, etc. Any way to remove?

There might be something wrong with your device's screen, you should try and get it checked. Or if you can manage to open your device, try pressing on the sides of the screen to see whether the lines disappear or unplug your screen from the motherboard and then plug it back.

most likely it is the screen. you can make a screenshot and view it on a computer or another phone...

Yeah...when I email a picture from the phone it is ok, but when it is viewed on the phone it is not.

You sure you haven't enabled a Developer Option in the Settings?
