This has been confirmed to work
Right now it is likely that anyone here will brick due to the phone having a secured bootloader. Flashing this firmware is your best shot at fixing any brick from removing stuff with root permissions.
Another thing I know is that some phones have been clocked at 1.5 GHz and others clocked at 1.2 GHz.
If your phone was clocked at 1.2 GHz, this firmware will clock you at 1.5 GHz!!!!!!!!!!!!
That's a good thing

This firmware link is from a serial number of an LG Motion 4G clocked at 1.5 GHz. None of us know if LG made two separate firmwares with some phones clocked at 1.2 and others at 1.5 or if phones that came with 1.5 was a simple typo by LG. So this firmware WILL clock you at 1.5GHz
Instructions:
Download firmware from here:
Official Motion 4G MS77010c_03 Firmware - Android Forums
Download the programs to convert and flash firmware:
KDZ_FW_UPD_EN.zip
How to get into emergency mode:
Hold Power+Volume Up+Volume Down
To get out of e-mode, pull battery (do not do this while flashing firmware!)
Thanks to
DarkStarONE for how to enter emergency mode.
Before you start flashing firmware, please make sure you charge your battery for at least 30 minutes.
These are the instructions to convert the cab to a KDZ and flashing it:
- Install phone drivers (LGUnitedMobileDriver_S4981MAN37AP22_ML_WHQL_Ver_3.7.2.exe)
- Install msxml.msi
- Disable antivirus software
- Open UpTestEX_mod2_marwin.exe
- Wait for the program to open
- Look for "Encrypt cab file to kdz file"
- Click the folder icon
- Choose the location of the cab you downloaded for MS770 firmware
- Encrypt cab -> kdz Program will freeze up. DO NOT EXIT until program says Done!!! Otherwise it won't finish converting.
- Close program
- Open KDZ_FW_UPD.exe
- "Type" choose CDMA
- Choose in "Phonemode": Emergency
- Click the folder icon and choose the kdz file that UpTestEX_mod2_marwin.exe just made.
- Click Launch software update and enjoy!
Ways to get into recovery mode are unknown by me currently. If you have info on that, it would be appreciated to share it
Please tell me if recovery is an automated recovery or not.
Automated recovery:
Shows an android and a loading bar on the bottom and automatically reboots into phone when done.
Non-automated recovery:
Gives you options to:
- Reboot
- Apply update.zip
- Wipe data (Factory Reset)
- Wipe cache
Phones don't fix themselves.
