new to the forum, i'm from the UK, coming up to the end of my contract with T-Mobile, and have an inkling that i would like to move into the android world, much as i like my trusty nokia e71. I figure this forum would be a good place to start looking for ideas as to which phone, apps etc ....

You will find a tremendous amount of information here and twice as many opinions. The best way to go about looking for the "best" phone is to make a list in order of importance the features you need in a smartphone. Then decide on a carrier that best suits your needs and budget. A phone should almost suggest itself.
