Hi,

I am using Note8, and Android 9 (pie) OS installed on it. I saved my pictures and videos on SD card and the contents were encrypted. Last week I had to factory reset my phone and now I am not able to open the pictures or videos anymore. I forgot to decrypt the SD card before factory reset the phone. Please help me. I owe you a lunch.

Thanks,
Chaannduu

Basically you can't, not unless you have a supercomputer and something like 100,000 years to spare to brute force the encryption. When you reset the phone the, its encryption key was deleted and can't be recovered. AES256 encryption(invented by Uncle Sam) is very secure, and there are no known backdoors or practical attacks AFAIK.

You didn't have a backup saved to Google or Samsung cloud services did you?
