Hi, I'd need help of an expert... I just tried to instal Slim Kat on my rooted Sensation (pyramid) using CWM 5. 8. x. x touch, wiped everything according to the slimroms installation instruction and got the message 'instalation aborted'. I don't know why I ever thought it would be a good idea to do this but I tried to restart the phone without ay rom on it. Now it is stuck on the white HTC screen.

I didn't turn on debugging nor did I turn on fastboot since the guide didn't tell me to. Also my wolume rocker is not very reliable. All in all, I can't even get into bootloader. I tried to use ADB but always get 'device not found'.

Is there any possibility to rescue it?

    Best,
    Edvard

you will need to get the phone to bootloader, then recovery in order to fix it,so keep trying until your vol rocker cooperates.

fastest way back to a working phone is to restore a backup,so hopefully you made one. failing that, you can try flashing a different rom,or try re-downloading your current rom after verifying that the download you used is compatible with your device.

you havent mentioned if your s off or s on,but if you are s on,dont forget that the boot.img will require a seperate flash after the rom install,as the custom recovery cannot install it as it does with an s on phone.

hope that helps, ill be around later this evening if you have further questions :)

    Thanks for the fast response!

I tried like a thousand times... remove battery, press volume down, tap power button, release volume down on startup. I may try another 100 times but I run out of hope. I read somewhere that I should have disabled fastboot before, to allow the phone to enter the bootloader, but I forgot.

There's no backup of the phone and I wouldn't mind to install ANY rom as long as it would start up again.

Before updating to 5.8.x.x touch it was s-off AFAIK. At least I did the wire trick about one year ago to unlock the bootloader and install the CM rom.

Is there any alternative to trying to restart bootloader over and over again, that I could get it working like doing an unbrick or installing a RUU?

    Thanks in advance!

It does not matter if fastboot is enabled, pulling the battery will let you get there.

Don't let go of the vol rocker. Hold vol down, then power, then continue to hold both until hboot appears :)

I tried this exact order also. But I will try some more times. Instead of booting into hboot, it keeps on showing the white HTC logo until I pull the battery. does the hboot screen actually appear before, instead or after the HTC screen?

I will let you know what happened in 1h15 when I got back to the phone...

For what it's worth, should not see the HTC screen at all when booting into the bootloader. If you are unable to get the volume rocker to cooperate, it may become necessary to have that repaired first. I have heard of people in this situation removing the rocker and simply touching the microswitch with a pen or equivalent skinny object.

Thanks for the tip, I will go for that next. Since the rocker used to work from time to time I don't really think that it is only him causing the problem.
...when I pull the battery, should I actually put it back in or not?

Yes, you will need to put the battery back in. You might want to leave it out for a couple of minutes however before attempting to get to the bootloader

I just tried several times. Same story. Phone boots up on white HTC screen. even when I press the buttons without the unibody. I might manage to take the phone apart maybe to bridge the vol down key for startup but apart from that I have no clue what to do. Is there anything else I can try?

Here's a guy pretty much having the same problem:

would his solution solve my issue, too? Cause I wonder where exactly to put the recovery.img file.

im not sure what post his link is refering to,it takes you to the first post of a very long thread

anything that will let you get to bootloader will let you fix the issue :)

in some cases, folks report being able to adb reboot bootloader from cmd with the phone completely powered off. i personally have never had this work, but its worth a try :)

I was refering to one of the first paragraphs of the first posting saying
Just tried rebooting it powered off via adb. still device not found.

Do you think this unbrick tutorial:

    could help me?

the unbrick tutorial will not help you your phone is not really "bricked" sounds like you just have a defective micro switch preventing you from getting to the bootloader. :(
