Help HTC Sync - Driver Error

Have spent 12 hours trying to get XP to install htc sync
Keep getting this window while trying to install HTC driver
PLEASE HELP!

Have you tried redownloading the file (or using the one on the memory card)
my phone was connected to the pc and htc sync selected on the screen.

you could try turning of your antivirus program on your pc while you install...ive had this problem installing a few programs in the past, just let it install and then turn it back on

I gave up trying to get HTC Sync to work. I bought Companion Link, and I sync to Deja Office (it is a two part solution, the latter is free)

It is far more robust, does more things--and it worked.
