Hydro

could have been great phone if they bumped the specs a little. waterproof, price, and ics are the best selling points.
bump up a few items to make in good:
1) internal memory only 2gb and only 1gb is available.
2) better camera (3.2mp, and this thing doesn't have auto focus?)
3) better screen resolution
 
I read about that phone. Its water resistant but not water proof. The specs are pretty meh. I will say I wish I had it instead of my Samsung Galaxy Prevail when I jumped in that hot tub in Maui last December and destroyed my phone lol. It only took a minute before I realized I had my Prevail in my pocket but one minute in water is plenty of time to destroy a smart phone lol. Leason learned. I wanted to upgrade anyway and I was very happy to become a Warp user because of it ;)

Pretty much the basic specs on the warp are better, memory, ram Ect.. But the hydro has that really cool feature that might be a deal breaker for people that have dropped their phones in water before. Just my thoughts
 
I can say that if it were the same size as the warp and same specs....I'd get it. But my warp screen has spoiled me.

All they have to do is get the waterproofing kit for warp... it's made by Ziploc.... :rofl:
 
Im getting it!!!!I'll use the warp half the year and the hydro for hunting and outdoors sports the other half of the year.I read I guy through it through a wall and it still worked!!Tough and water proof ICS COOL!!!!!!
 
I bought this phone after my warp took a dunk in my pool... abd it is 100% water proof. Found replacement parts for my warp, and got it running again. Just going to use it for testing and a pda.Ill post some pics of the Hydro under water. Its perfect phone if you have need your phone in the shower.
 
Finally had a chance to play with this phone. Being waterproof is about the only thing going for it. When the phone is submerged in water the touch screen doesn't work. So taking pics underwater is out of the question.:mad:
 
the reason the hydro doesnt work underwater is because it does not have wet finger tracking the sony xperia acro s (waterproof phone) has the wet finger tracking allowing you to use it while the screen is wet :) hope this clears this up for people :)

Thats cool. I think its just that I work as a commercial diver so my definition of water proof is a bit more demanding then 1 foot of water for 30 minutes. I'm not going to knock this phone because its probably built tougher then 99% of other android phones and if you spend time outdoors in the rain or talk on the phone in the shower then it would be perfect for you.
