Root Ice Cream Sandwich from XDA

I was interested to know if anyone has tried rooting their G2x or Optimus 2x phone to ICS from XDA. If you have, how is it stability wise? Is it worth the lack of completion?

I know this isn't in the All Things Rooting subdomain because it is strictly just a question regarding preferences.

there is a ics rom available but its an Alfa stage so there is a lot of bugs and things that don't work
