Aww... my Tribute still works well. Still running this ROM, though there's a new one called Monstro. That post should be moved to the Rooted tab. Might try that Monstro later. My Tribute is the first phone that's lasted more than a year in a while! Before that, I had:
-the Optimus V (still works relatively well despite its age, nearly 4 years. Currently runs MRG666's Gingerbread CM mod ROM.)
-the Kyocera Rise (stupidly bricked that one, but could've lasted a while in my view... loved the physical QWERTY slider)
-The Kyocera Event (works somewhat, perhaps removing too many of the included apps gradually made it worse)
-LG Optimus F3 (only had that one for 7-8 months... overheated badly around the 7th month, which impaired internal memory... had it recycled once the Tribute was up for sale in October, 2014)
I have about $200 of gift money from Christmas. I am sort of thinking of getting a new phone. From what I can tell, the htc desire 626, LG Tribute 2, LG G Stylo, and Motorola Moto G 3rd gen are due to get Marshmallow upgrades in the next few months. Still haven't made my mind up... might go for the 626 or the G Stylo if I can hold off a bit longer, and get them on sale. The Tribute 2 is okay, but there have been too many reports of its camera being worse than the Tribute's. Apparently the problem is that the rear facing camera lacks autofocus. That's a major deal killer for me. If I do get a 626, G Stylo, or Moto G 3rd gen, I will toss the Event away to a recycler. My old Optimus V is more useful than that piece.
