    After running mkfs.msdos on a 16G sdcard, the card does not work in an S4 phone.
    The phone goes into a reboot loop.
    logcat displays the following message just before the first reboot:
    MDM :: sdCardWriteAccessBlocked 0

    The same card works fine in an I9000 phone.

    The mkfs.msdos is run on Ubuntu Linux.

    Try mkfs.vfat

    There are differences between an MSDOS filesystem and a FAT32 filesystem. Some phones may ignore the differences, some may not. But Android specifies a FAT32 fs, so why give it a different one?
