Help notification on lock screen

when i get a text, you can read a part of the text on the locked screen. that means someone can read it even though it's locked. is there a way to disable this?

Are you using stock messaging app or something like handcent? Handcent has a setting in it that allows you to disable displaying message content in the status bar. I believe the native app has no such setting.

just using stock sms. may give handcent a try...sounds like great app...

Love handcent, more than likely you will too. When you install it, be sure to uncheck the incoming message notification in the native app so you don't get two notification sounds for one message. Anyway, handcent is more user friendly with more options as far as functionality and customization options than the native app ever thought about being. Enjoy
