Help Photos stored WHERE on phone?

I love the photos my XL takes but...

I hate that I can't find the photos on my phone!

I just took a photo and I wanted to Post a photo on Amazon with a review. This is too much work.

Is there a folder (or hidden folder) where the photos are stored? I prefer not to upload to Google. Yes, I know I can upload all photos to Google.

Any help is appreciated!

Okay, I feel stupid... it's there. I was using a separate "Gallery" app, like my Galaxy Note 4 had (which I liked) but it wasn't showing the new photos...just what I transferred over from my note 4. After reading your reply, I used ES File Explorer Pro and found the photos in the DCIM folder.

Follow up...

After I realized it was the 3rd party "Gallery" app, I downloaded "A+ Gallery - Photos & Videos" and ALL the photos are there (from the XL camera & my transferred photos).

Just FYI you can use Google photos without uploading to the cloud. That's only an option.
