Random Thought Thread

I think what I will do now is stop looking for the semester. School is about to start and I already dropped 2 classes hoping to find a job.

I think I'll take the manager position at McDonalds and go from there. Gain more school experience until I can actually get an internship next year and take what I can find.

hell yes take a management position!!!!
and dont drop classes for a part time job...I know it's hard...but keep your eye on the prize...even if you have to make hot dog water soup for now,,
promoted to management means something on a resume.....

for what its worth....Im proud of you!:)

Here some background, I worked with autistic people. Like the ones that are pretty much nonverbal (although we worked on their verbal skills and have some success)

Well there's 3 that are non verbal (group home) and 1 that is high function autistic, but also a schizophrenic manic depressive bipolar as well.

Well our house was obviously not a good fit, because he would manipulate their emotions, and bully them. We would stop it where we saw it, but he would run away from the home and stuff so it was hard to keep an eye on and help the others..

Well 2 weeks ago one of our non verbal had a breakdown and started having serious behaviors. He was throwing things at the light bulbs and just everywhere, but we contained the situation and got it under control.

Well last weekend we had to hospitalize him because his same behavior had become severe enough to become a crisis and we needed him sedated.

The office wouldn't answer our calls and our 24/7 nurse wouldn't answer her their phones, so we called the police. It took 6 officers to restrain him, in his hand and foot cuffs!!

So basically the office was mad at me, because I couldn't curve the manic depressives behavior, but he wouldn't listen to the staff, because all we can do is ask and suggest. So I just had enough with their inaction, so I decided to quit.

Also I found out earlier they wanted us to document their bad behavior because the more bad behavior would give more meds, which gave them more profit. I just couldn't work for a company who has a blatant disregard for the help their clients need.

It's been a stressful 3 weeks.

I applaud you for listening to your conscience. Best of luck finding a new job with a better company.

For what it's worth. McDonalds will hire anyone for a manager. I don't know how most of the managers where I work were even considered for the position.

Thanks Gmash, it's just gonna be rough because me and my girlfriend are just about to get into our apartment, so I have to find a new job quickly. I'm aiming for by the end of the week.

A little advice I thought of tonight in regards to your job search

Remember, it's not always about being the perfect match or your experience. If you show whoever you want a job with why your skillset or personality will be beneficial to the company will help you get your foot in the door. Just sell yourself!

I was annoyed at the stoooopid things people insist on constantly posting...bragging about their annoying kids ..or trolling for sympathy or attention...or constantly offering their political commentary on EVERYTHING...hashtag this!!! anyway
I was going to just be the most annoying poster everrrrrr.....and I even started my evil plan....but hubby is in my friends list circle blah..:rolleyes:and he was all...seriously???you need to stop that...people are gonna start to wisen up that your being obnoxious on purpose and you might get someone mad or hurt their feelings if they think your making fun of them....etcetc
