Help Risk of replacing the display in Qualified Customer Center

Hey guys, I would love to hear any suggestions or comments. I would like to have my brand new galaxy s2 with perfect screen - this one I have has 1 suck pixel and yellow tint.

I know I can get a new one but since this phone works perfectly as a phone and has no defectives except the screen I wouldn't want to get a new one and have a risk of faulty unit and live into the same problems of waiting 2-3 weeks etc for the new phone.

So, is there a risk that after using my warranty and get my screen replaced in service center they could spoil my phone from inside ? Or replacing the screen is completely safe ?

Just today I finally got it to customers' service for display replacement. I still afraid a bit that after replacement my phone could have new defects. This service seems to be really qualified and repairs phones under warranty, have agreements with samsung, sony etc.

Still, my phone will never be right after factory again, could it be different and what new problems may I have ?

i'd just get a replacement handset. it isn't in samsung's interest to ship out a load of duff phones. as with everything that's mass produced, there will always be one or two units which slip through qa that are duff, just one of those things.

and to be honest, one of the things i've learned over the years is to take everything you read on these forums with a pinch of salt.

the galaxy s2 is a great handset, many hundreds of thousands of people are more than happy with their handset.

when people on here report problems with their phone, you never know (despite what they write on the forum) what they've installed, whether they've flashed a dodgy firmware, dropped it, got a case which is causing it to overheat, etc etc.

just get a new phone, stop worrying and enjoy it. it's only a phone.

I think you misunderstood me. It will be my old phone with the new display. And the question is what's the risk that specialist from my customers' center could damage something else while replacing the screen ?

My phone worked great almost without any lag... never restarted or hung so bad to restart it, that's why I chose to have my screen replaced to avoid serious defects in the new swapped phone.

i may have misread your post, but my sentiment remains the same, just get it fixed and don't worry about it.

i'm sure the repair centre repairs hundreds of handsets every day and has strict procedures to ensure that every repaired device is fully tested and functional before it leaves the facility.

It's been fun as hell :D. Today I got my phone with replaced screen and guess what, immediately after turning it on and using for a while I noticed strange dead pixel which was blinking and changing it's positions. So, I gave the phone back :D
