Samsung Galaxy SII OTG

Hi, I have a Samsung Galaxy SII with the Android version 4.0.3 and kernel version 3.0.15. I have a Samsung USB to micro USB adapter to try the usb OTG. It recognizes a flash drive but not a mouse or keyboard. What do I have to do in order to use those hardwares? I've tried with the Genius brand, do I have to buy another brand? Also, is there any way to connect a webcam to it?? (for final university project)

The SGS2 cannot build a profile for keyboard or mouse through the OTG USB connection as far as I know. However you can connect a Bluetooth mouse and keyboard straight out of the box. I bought a wireless BT on ebay for $8 and foldable BT keyboard for about $30 they both work great.
