Save $30 on Incredible VerizonWireless.com

2:20PM Central Time - I just called *611, explained the situation and had a $30 credit applied to my account along with apology that I did not see the promo code when I originally pre-ordered yesterday.

Here are my details: I have been with Verizon for a number of years but I have been out of contract for several months. When ordering my Incredible online, I did receive the NE2 rebate.

Before calling, I went back to VZW's website and went through the same steps of ordering my phone. After selecting the phone, the plan, and the accessories, my shopping cart appeared with my selections. At that point, I clicked on the link at the top that said, "REMOVE PACKAGE FROM CART" and immediately the aforementioned smart30 promo pop-up appeared.

With this still on my screen, I called up CS and explained that I was simply messing around on the ordering page to re-verify for myself that I had selected the appropriate plan/accessories when this pop-up appeared telling me that I could have saved $30! I politely told the CSR that I wish I would have seen this yesterday and been able to save some extra money. She promptly credited my account for $30 with an apology that I had I to go through the trouble of calling in!

After all of the waiting and wondering whether to buy the N1 from T-Mo or ATT, or wait for the EVO from Sprint - it is this kind of top notch customer service and willingness to satisfy the buyer that just re-affirms my decision to stick with Verizon.

THANKS TO THE ORIGINAL POSTER ON THIS!!!

Well this is strange. I tested out the code before and it worked. (See my earlier post in this thread). I was going to wait to order until I could see one in the store. Then I thought they would pull the promo, so I just signed back on to order. Now I'm getting the same message that others are getting - that the promo is not available. I wonder if it is because I previously entered it (earlier today), and you only get one shot?

This message will come up when you have something in your cart and try to remove package or cancel your order during the process.

I'm on the phone now to see if Verizon will honor this on my Incredible I pre-ordered on 4/20

Just called the online sales number 8863387390 and he said they have had several calls regarding the coupon today. I then asked if I should cancel and reorder or what he would advise me to do, and he said I should mention the coupon when calling to activate the phone (after I receive it) and they would be able to get the credit applied, so I guess it all depends on who I happen to reach when I activate. Hope this helps

I just got off the phone with Verizon Wireless. The regular CSR couldn't help me so I read her some posts on here telling her steps other CSRs had taken. Then she transferred me to the internet orders dept....the rep I spoke with there credited the $30 onto my credit card and removed the overnight charge.

I've got to say, they really did take the time to fix it for me and get me the refund. I was very happy with them

The rep I spoke with took down my info and said she would call me back. When she called back, I was told it was for new customers only and that I couldn't get the credit applied. Ive been a customer with Verizon for at least 5-6 years. Guess I'll try again later.

Yeah I would call right back, I am not a new customer and I got the credit with a problem. Apparently she had no idea of what was going on. The guy I talked to, had no problems applying a 30 dollar credit to my account, in fact it already shows on my verizon.

My online chat with a rep after the code didn't work. I altered his or her name:

Please wait for a Verizon Wireless sales representative to assist you with your order. Thank you for your patience!
A Verizon Wireless online pre-sales specialist has joined the chat. You are now chatting with [REP]
[REP]: Hello. Thank you for visiting our chat service. May I help you with your order today?
[REP]: In an effort to better assist you, are you an existing Verizon Wireless customer?
You: Yes, I'm trying to order the HTC Incredible on my primary line. I entered the SMART30 code and was told that it does not apply
[REP]: I'd be happy to help you with that.
You: It actually says "Criteria for ****** promotion were not met; no discount was applied."
[REP]: This is an expired promo code and it does not work.
[REP]: Please, remove the code.
You: strange because it worked earlier this morning.
[REP]: Our promotions can change at anytime. So, this promo code no longer works.
[REP]: Did you remove the code?
You: not yet.
[REP]: Okay, go ahead and remove the code and then click continue to checkout, please.
You: Thanks. I'm going to wait. Maybe there will be another promo in a few weeks.
[REP]: Keep in mind, the prices are looking to change, so you will miss out on the discount price offered at this time.
[REP]: Do you have any other questions for me?
You: I'll take my chances. Thanks. That's it.
[REP]: Thank you for visiting Verizon Wireless, I look forward to speaking with you again. Have a great day!
Your chat session has been ended by your Verizon Wireless online agent.

I just had to redo my preorder about a half hour ago. I called Internet Sales and the order was already in processing so I asked if there was anyway to still get the $30 discount and she said she could have it applied as a credit to my credit card (since that what I used to pay for the phone).

She was very helpful and after getting all my card information she said I should see the credit applied in about 5 - 7 business days.

The rep I spoke with (Kimberly) said that this promo just started today and runs until May 3rd.... so typically if you pre-order the incredible before today you can not use it... BUT to keep me from canceling she went ahead and credit'ed me. She said that the $30 promo code can not be combined with the free overnight shipping (promo codes can not be combined) but it looks like some of you have had luck in doing both.

I am in the process of ordering the phone and use my online discount and NE2 credit of $50. The code wouldnt work for me at all. So I called VZW and spoke to a rep. He stated that the code doesnt work with the NE2 discount. I'm like huh? Are you sure? There are others stating the opposite. He said he tried and he cant get it to apply and that was the reason why. I'll call back later and see if I can get someone else.

Talked with CSR and she said print out the promo and bring it into a official verizon store with your shipping slip after you receive the phone, and they will credit you the $30 on your account since its within the 30 day window. Use the link below to print out the promo. Hope this helps for those of you who aren't able to get them to credit it over the phone.

I just upgraded one of my secondary lines to the Incredible and it wouldn't take the SMART30 promo code, so called back Verizon yet again.

Got bounced around from Customer Service to Sales back to Customer Service again. She said go ahead and place the order and she would credit me the $30. Sales couldn't help because he said they can not do pre-orders over the phone.

So I was able to save $30 off each HTC Incredible order, one after I had already pre-ordered on the 20th and promo didn't start till today.

WOW this took THREE calls for me, spoke to csr 1 - she wanted me to take a screen shot into a local verizon store so they could verifiy it

csr2 - read the note from csr 1 and told me the same thing, and wouldnt even let me speak to a supervisor by saying that they were Not available- This just after he said he had just spoke to a supervisor - which kind of irritated me

Got transfered to the internet department and got a very nice lady who said No problem lets look up the order, asked for CC # that i used for the order, and BAM she was very happy to give me the $30 credit towards my credit card!

i have to say i was starting to get irritated that they would not pull up the offer online even after i told them i had the web address to the picture of the promo and that i did not want to waste my time going into a store and waiting for who knows how long.....

I suggest calling *611 and then ask to be transfered to the internet orders dept. - they seem to be a lot more knowledgeable about the Promo code and she was very happy to help me.....

Stonewalled 2x...both said that it was for new lines only; i said no it wasn't, but they assured me it was...told them i got the pop up when i was shopping the phone for the other line in my plan which is existing but they still said no..it was the internet dept that denied me.

they had a log of my 1st call when i called the 2nd time...may try again later or wait until i call tomorrow to activate the phone to get my billing account credited.
