Help Screen brightens and dims while typing

I have noticed this issue a handful of times and thought I would assk here ot see what others have seen.

At times - while I am typing on the keyboard in some app (email, web or other) the screen will noticeably dim a bit for a few seconds and then will brighten back to what it was before. It may do it again before I am done typing.

This does not happen every single time I type on it, but probably at least once a day. any ideas on what is going on? Has anyone else seen this?

it's set to Auto brightness.

..and you may be moving your hand over the light sensor

Thank you both. I did not even know about either of those two things. Had a little fun playing around with the light sensor finding it.
