I am unable to get to the stock recovery, unless I'm doing something wrong (power button and vol. up/down)

Help Stock Recovery

pwr + volume down + home, release once lg pops up. Or if you have adb binaries (Android SDK) installed on your computer you can simply use the adb command: "adb reboot recovery" after connecting your phone to the computer and typing the command in the CMD window opened in the folder containing the adb binary file (usually its /Android SDK/Platform-Tools/)
