Voice mms messages?

Ok i never had this happen till i got my new android phone my friend and i send eachother voice messages via mms like when u make a new text u can select voice message i can send them on android but cant receive them? i have had 3 dif ppl send me sound recording and they wont play why???

hmmm odd cuz i can send them its that i cant get them when i send them out there is a small play button if i hit play it plays but when i get them i hit download and it downloads there is no play button and i click attach to sd card i play it and there is nothing there. three dif ppl have tried to send me one .
