I keep going back and forth if I like it or not. I haven't actually watched any movies on my phone (not a big movie person, unless it's on in the background) though. Far as music is concerned, some songs are better with it and some are horrible with it. The soundtracks of movies I tend to like better with it on, seems more immersive. But I'm not sure if that's actually true or it's the placebo effect lol.
I use the 5.1ch effect when watching videos, but for listening to music I instead use a custom equalizer setting that makes for a significantly better sound than the normal setting.
Same here. I only use the 5.1 on movies. I don't encode my music in a high enough quality to get significant effects from 5.1 sound. Also, I use dropbox & pandora for most of my music needs, which don't support 5.1 playback from their streaming apps
The spacial relationship seams different to me in music, almost off. It makes sense in movies for the sound to be moving around you, but I'm not used to music moving that way yet.
