General Why no NFC in the battery?

    Why is the NFC in the S3 and S4 in the battery while the Note2 and N3 have it in the cover? Tried googling but couldn't find any good info.

    IIRC some Note 2's (carrier dependent) had NFC in the battery while others didn't.

    Could be carrier specific like the Note 2 was.

    My AT&T Note 3 has a NFC battery.

    Yeah that was my bad. Thought I clicked on a link to the Note 3 showing the NFC on the cover, but it was actually for the Note 2.
