Help Wifi Problems

Hey, I just received an Iconia A500 as a gift. It works on everyone else's wifi, but it won't work on mine. When I try to connect I see that the connection is excellent, but as soon as I type the password and hit connect it says "Scanning..." or "Authenticating..." below my network name which now has a 1 bar connection instead of 4. It eventually disconnects. My router is a Comtrend if that helps at all. Thanks.

I would check your security settings. That's what it sounds like anyway. When I have a problem like that I select remove the network and let it pick it up again and reset all my settings.

Thanks for the tips, but I've tried them already to no avail. It does work on other networks, just not mine. One helpful piece of information is that it displays -1mb/s as the link speed after I connect it. Has anyone else seen this?

I can reproduce the exact problem you described in your original post if I try to connect to my wifi with the wrong password (eg password -to activate the 'connect' button - plus an extra character).
Not sure how this helps you though.

That's odd, but its definitely the right password, I checked with my computer, but that could be helpful, if I can figure this out better. Thanks
