I have this mount, and with a slight modification, it now holds my EVO with the Seidio Innocase II case on it. I had an old Bracketron universal mount that I wasn't using, so I removed the foam strip that usually sits against the back of your phone. See image here: http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_klrZN9Uoc-o/SnR-ABFJMuI/AAAAAAAAE4E/sj8ir1a2Rwg/s400/bracketron.jpg I used a hairdryer to heat up the adhesive and then just peeled it off as one piece.
I then adhered it to the "fingers" of the Kensington mount. (Photo attached) The razor blade that I used to trim it was not the sharpest, so the edges look slightly rough (only close up). It now holds my phone WITH the Innocase II on it, and it doesn't move ONE BIT while driving.
You may be able to find thin foam with adhesive backing somewhere else, like a hobby or craft store.
I have attached a photo so that you can see what I am talking about.
Good Luck
*edit I added a photo of my EVO in the mount! You can probably remove the rubber pads on it now and move them to the sides that actually touch the EVO.
