Welp, certain MKV's that I play through the external HDD stop with anywhere between 5 and 15 minutes left in the movie. It is only certain movies too. Sometimes I can fast forward and rewind the MKV's through my TV's controls and usually that is the file that I CAN watch the whole movie. If I can't use the controls through my TV, that is usually a sign that the video will stop short of the end. They all work perfectly fine on VLC on my computer, but for some reason only certain files won't play the whole video on my TV.
MKV is a container format, the means it's a wrapper around a video file and audio file. For example you can have an MKV with a H264 video stream and a acc audio stream. This means that not all MKVs are the same, in vlc look at the codec information and see if it was one codec that is causing the problem. If so you can use vlc or handbreak to reencode the video to a format the TV supports.
You can also see if the TV has web support using something like TVersity to just stream on the fly from your TV. I used TVersity to stream video to my phone (via flash) and it's awesome. Orb, xmbc, etc.. are some other on the fly streaming products.
The video codec on one file that stopped last night is: H264 - MPEG-4 AVC.
Same codec as another that failed on me awhile back. One that worked the other day has a codec of: MPEG-4 Video (XVID)
So it seems the H264 is causing the problem, but why in God's name would it run perfectly fine the whole movie and end 5-10 minutes before it is supposed to?
EDIT: I just looked at a few more videos that I have with the same H264 codec and they didn't end early. Hmm...The whole Homeland Season 1 had no problems playing and that was an H264 codec, along with other movies that played fine.
I do not understand what you're trying to say.
Let's have a lottery on translation!

Change I like the cold to I love the cold and you've got it
I have to agree. That had to go. I opted for TheRoosevelt's lovely LightFlow HD...in blue of course. Very nice.I've never had a reason to change one, but that angry pink unicorn and all the flowers are too much
I knew you guys didn't read my link lists! I've posted about this already!
Good Morning all, decided to stop waiting for the OTA of 4.04 and flashed this morning using ROM Manager. So far, here is what I notice: Better signal strength (not just bars but dbm), faster screen rendering, quicker revert to data from wifi or airplane mode, way faster boot time, quicker camera launch and better focus lock with shutter button. I will play with it more today and report back. Here's to hoping it helps with the one way audio issues...
Hahahaha, okay okay, I'll stop being so sensitive. Sorry!I did read your link, Razor, that's where I got the story!

Negative on the one way audio. First two calls on 4.04 l had the one way audio happen, first call from the start of the call, them I immediately called him back and it happened a few seconds into the call (naturally I was talking to my accountant). Third call to same person, no problem. I immediately saved the log cat, so I will look at that when I get home in a little while. Maybe, 4.05 will be the charm!
