Neither of these programs are force closing but when I go to the web browser or get a text message either of these programs with stop playing. Not close, just stop playing. I have to go to advanced task manager and closing the program before I can even use it again. Has anyone had a problem with this? I dont know if its because I am creating another data connection or what but I can say I noticed it start happening when I rooted but I dont know if that has anything to do with it..

I use Pandora and Slacker daily. I have zero issues with either. I also receive a lot of texts (Handcent), as well as emails. Web surfing doesn't effect either app as well. So I don't know what to tell you guys. I suspect another app is conflicting with them. Or, your 3G signal is not that strong. I also use WiFi probably 40% of the time, no issues with that either.

I have a similar issue. It happens with the cubed music player as well. What I have noticed is when my phone is on silent, doesn't happen so I think it has something to do with sound notifications.

Strangely today, been listening to Pandora for almost 3 hours and not a single hiccup. I have recieved and sent several texts with no problems. I have missed 2 calls though because for some reason my phone isn't ringing. Honestly, rather miss the call then have to go through the hassle of restarting Pandora.

I have been running slacker and pandora most of the morning with no widget up for either. I have vibrate notification on and have been browsing online and texting throughout the morning and tangent had one reset on either program. I can either contribute this to being stock again or not running either widget...

The problem I am experiencing with Pandora is that it just seems to "soft" hang.

For instance when I exit my car and pause the current song and return to the homescreen the screen eventually locks. Upon unlocking the phone and returning to Pandora the screen is black with no indication of activity. I am able to access the menu to quit Pandora but that is it.

As long as Pandora runs continuously, no errors. But when I pause, switch apps and later resume it... *poof* functionality disapears.

I believe the problem is with Verizon's 3G. Pandora uses the web and texting uses the phone towers. 4G will allow this, but 3G will not. On the other hand if you use WiFi you can text without Pandora interruption. Hope this was helpful.

Have to disagree completely. I ran Pandora most of the day yesterday stock with no widgets flawlessly while texting and using the web. I see your logic but that isn't the issue here

Are you on stock ROM?? If not, which ROM you using. Today I tried to use Pandora and it worked ok by itself. As soon as I fired up navigation, it quit. I tried muting nav voice, still quit. I tried cubed and it hung up with navigation as well.

I listen to Slacker at work and when people call they say it just rings continuously without going to voicemail and it never rings on my end. I can receive SMS though. I don't know why this is happening but I would like to receive calls if they come in. I have an N1 on T-Mobile. I know this is the Droid section but it is the only place I could find a similar issue posted.

Nevermind I found the answer. In my job I only get Edge (2G) and I guess data and voice can't run simultaneously on 2G.
