I sometimes am scared to buy those cheap chargers, but a charger is a charger I guess.
Around February I lost the portion of my charger which converts usb to AC, and I also hesitated buying a cheap charger. But I definitely wasn't paying for a $30 verizon charger, so I bought a generic one and it worked fine.

These phones are Micro USB ports not Mini USB. Majority of the phones now use Micro USB as they are known to be more reliable as well. Mini USB ports use to be on older phones a few years back such as the Blackberry Curve 8330.

I have never used a screen protector for my droid and all it has are some hair-line scrathes that you can only see in the right light at the right angle. And I have dropped mine many times. Onto concrete at least twice. Any phone with gorilla glass doesn't need a screen protector, IMO.
Is the orientation of the port on the Droid X the same as the Droid or is it 180 degrees off?
I'm looking to get a right angle (or left angle) micro usb cable and want to make sure I get it with the cable routing down the device, not up.
