With all these unlucky ones that have their unit replaced twice 3x or even 5x... Have you ever wondered how sprint cope up with that kind of loses? Could it be that extra $10 we are paying a month? And what are they gonna do with the returned units?... I don't buy insurance for my cellphone ever bcoz i am really careful of my things if ever I got my unit damaged or lost can I buy that refurbished unit from sprint? Just questions running on my mind and for the sake of my first thread here :D

Returned units sent back to HTC.

Sprint loses nothing.

Welcome to the forum.

Thanks Sagedil... I see, does htc sell refurbished units? Or maybe they forward it too to reseller... gotta find out where it goes hehehe... being cheap here, I just love the hardware I know we can always upgrade the software to fix the problem... maybe I just dont want to see the unit get wasted such a great device.

You have got to be kidding me. How many people here replaced a phone? And if someone was having problems, I am sure they would have found us.

Try like 1% if even that much.

I hope u are right!

but.. some are going through 3-5 replacements... so... I am guessing.. it must be high number of replacements. From users that dont visit forums.

For so many here... to go through multiple returns... and rule: lightning dont strike twice.... it leads me to ASSUME higher than 1%.

which if I am right and it is higher... like say 25%.... that would also lead to one big reason.. for suck a shortage of phone available to new customers.

I think you have it backwards. Users that don't visit forums are less likely to return phones for things like light leaks or other nit picky faults. Average users don't notice these things. There is no way 1 unit in 4 is being returned. As build quality improves so will the return rate for those who are really power users.

thats why i dread comin to forums. i like to come for tips, hacks, updates but find more issues about the phone here than anything else. ill come here and get pissed.

main ones: light leak, screen lift, FPS limit. these things i and my fellow evo owners had no idea existed. tho i kinda noticed the light leak, but ive seen that on many phones. so i see that as a normal flaw of electronic devices.

but man i try to stray from here alot, ion wanna find new MINOR probs. just deteriorates my love of the phone a lil each time.

I think the forums cause a snowball effect of sorts. Many people on the forums don't intially see the defects until someone here posts it and then they say...."Yeah, mine does that too, I better go get a replacement"

IMO...People come to forums for two reasons, to find out about problems, and to bitch about problems.
