Root How do you even brick a phone?

About the ONLY way to brick the Droid... something you have to try and do, is interrupt the RSD Lite flashing process by pulling the cable or having a low battery. Bricking is almost impossible with the Droid.

Even that is unlikely to brick a droid. Most of the sbf files don't touch the mbm. As long as the bootloader is entact you can save a droid. I've actually never heard of a truly bricked droid that was not a hardware issue.

I got stuck on RSD Lite while flashing and pulled the plug after waiting for 30 mins. I can't remember what it said, but it was along the lines of "corrupt code" or something. I just tried flashing a bunch of times (I always got a bunch of "failed" errors") and eventually it boot up normally and was magically rooted.

So glad there's the one-click root method out there now if I had to root again.

It takes more than this to brick a Droid. I was flashing an sbf last night and my dog for some reason wants to run right by my PC and RIP the USB cable right out of the PC (I wanted to kill him). Started over and all was good.

Very true, my Droid is up and running fine.
