Recommend me a Phone.

I am looking at which HTC phone to buy.

I need WIFI, to connect to the internet at home, I also want PUSH email, my understand of PUSH email is that every half n hour or something I can get the software to go out and search for new emails whilst not having to go into the app and click refresh to see new emails, something which I have to do on my N95.

I also need a decent SatNAV, now I know that google navigation is out, i don't know how good it is due to the lack of information out on the internet. Do all HTC phones drain the battery with GPS? Okay so I need SatNAV, then I also need a phone with decent car cradles, I need something that enables me to rotation it portrait and landscape easily. Do HTC phones come with a car charger in the box?

I also use gmail alot, now is there any advantages that I will get from getting a HTC phone and utilizing my gmail account, aswell as calander. Is there a simple way of getting the phone to sync with outlook such as the tasks and notes you make?

Are most apps on android free?
Do the phones last a long time?
I like the idea of the kickstand in the droid incredible i think, that phone is very appealing for me.
I am just thinking of getting the phone not for phone and text use but for just internet and apps.

Please inform me on your opinions and suggestions.

The Android Lounge is a great place to get Android device recommendations, so I've moved your request out of the News forums to that area for you.

In my opinion, the best course of action to take in phone selection is to go to a store where there are many devices on display for the public to look at and for shoppers to handle.

Play with each of them. Ask the store reps for details about the ones that seem to appeal to you.

Push email updates you when you get it, or when you set the interval to check. Again, pretty sure all modern smartphones have this.

Google Navigation is brilliant. I have a Desire and it works perfectly. You need a data connection like WiFi or 3G so it can find the route, and GPS to track your position. You can turn data off and it will still work, though if you leave the route it can't find a new one until it gets a data connection again.
My Desire didn't come with a car cradle. Battery times on smartphones with big touchscreens are bad compared to older phones, it's just a fact of life at the moment. They will get better. Most can easily survive a day/day and a half on one charge with moderate use.
A lot of smartphones come with accelerometers, so they can easily go from portrait to landscape mode, and you can lock them in a position anyway.

Unfortunately I'm not sure on this one, but HTC make the phone and put Sense on it, the rest is still Android which is designed to sync with Gmail and calander. As for Outlook, I'd say it's likely you can do that, it's a pretty important thing for a lot of people so it seems stupid if it wasn't a feature.

Are most apps on android free?

Most of them, usually the paid ones have a free/lite/trial version. You can easily live on just free apps.

Do the phones last a long time?

The nature of smartphones mean currently they are only modern for a few years. Fortunately a contract usually lasts this long, so you can upgrade and keep up with the current phones.

Why not try a tablet if you're not into making calls or texts. The Dell Streak is an Android tablet, 5" screen and it's pretty fast. You can also make phone calls on it too, if you wish.

Pyro answered most of the questions . . . I'll just add that I bought my Droid specifically for the purpose of syncing with my work Outlook account and it works like a dream so far, at least for email, contacts and calendar. I don't use tasks and notes, so I can vouch for that. From what I understand, Outlook sync got better with the latest version of the Android OS software (2.2), so it might be good to make sure your phone has that.
