CM7 Issue on 2 separate Huawei Ascend M860 phones.
CM7 has no issues that I can find, except for the camera issue, which not only prevents the camera from multiple uses, but interferes with the Infrared Camera app and the Barcode Readers.
When I attempt to use the camera, it works fine, the first time and a few times after that, but eventually, it will cease working.
When I go to use a barcode scanner or the IR program, the camera cannot be communicated with and an error pops up telling me that the camera can't be found.
When I installed, I booted into recovery, wiped the system, cache, dalvik, then I installed the CM7 released today (I've been installing for about a week now without issues, on all the updates), then I install the Google Apps, and the Update fix. I fix permissions and boot. I install all the google apps, one by one. Then, I boot back to recovery and install the MetroPCS update for MMS. That works fine. I reboot and everything works fantastic until we come to the camera.
Is there some kind of fix? I have opened up the camera in Titanium Backup and there are 2 installed. Version 1, and version 2. I've attempted to install a camera.apk that's an upgraded version, directly from the CM7 files, but it will not install.
I'm increasingly frustrated with the camera issue, because it's a feature I love having. I don't want to flash back to the old Metropcs files, and android 2.1 (yuck). Not when we have such a wonderful program around. Can you offer me some kind of advice? I'd greatly appreciate it. Maybe a fix or a way to install the new camera.apk?
