If someone has Superpad III Android 2.2 512M ram 8G HDD, please send it.
Original setting

kernel ver. 2.6.32.9

when booting shows ANDROIDWORLD

Really... That's interesting. Do you have a link to the bootloader you flashed? Try the attached bootloader.

Hi all, a question about Tim's ROM, Why you prefer the version Tim 3a, instead of 3d?

Somebody can explain a bit, the theme of the 3a non_cache?

Sorry if I am a little heavy.

Greetings. Manuel

Hi Manuel,

To be honest i haven't tried Tim3d but i have had colleagues use it and they say the Market was slower download apps in 3d than 3a. Also said 3a was just a much better experience. TCH's ROM is also another nice one up there on par with Tim3a.

The non cache means it generates system files and puts them in the cache store (dalvik) on first bootup. A fresh install. Where as the other version mean those files have already been generated. Myself i prefer a clean install and would rather have them generated on first boot. It may take a little longer to boot first time round but your shouldn't have any issues then.

Cheers,

Shane

Perhaps your model has the 576 (576 directory) resolution and not the 600...

Have you loaded any custom ROM on it? Besides the boot loader? e.g. Tim3a.

Hi Rebooto,

Yeah had my account banned from Apad.tv for discussing these SuperPad 3's. They thought i was promoting the Fakes so here i am.

If you haven't done anything to it, then it would be using a stock non-rooted ROM. Tim's ROMs come pre-rooted so you don't need to root it after installing one of his ROMs. I can recommend Tim3a is a good ROM to load. Fixes a lot of issues. See the post above this one for a link and instructions on how to update.

Cheers.

Try installing the Tim3a firmware and see if you still have problems.

Hello Folks

I am new to the forum and want to say thank you to all for the information I have received. It is infinitely helpful. Let me start by saying that I am not the most technically savvy guy to download a ROM and as such I am having trouble installing the TIM3A Rom onto my Superpad III. I downloaded the file onto the MicroSD card on my pc and unzipped the files. I then delete the original zip file from the SD Card. I put the MicroSD card into the TF slot and there is a countdown that the boot from SD card will start in 5...4..3...etc seconds. When the boot is complete however everything is the same. I know that I am supposed to shut off the PC during the time that the flashing finishes, but to be honest I am not sure what flashing they are referring to. Any help would be very greatly appreciated.

Very Best,

When you boot with the Micro SD card in do you see a message saying Update? Then the update process starts. It will flash the new ROM then it should say it's finished in broken english and to remove the SD card, then autoshutdown in 1min, after it shuts down it will constantly vibrate (don't be scared) this is normal. Just hold the power button down for 10-12secs then release. Turn it back on and make sure the SD card isn't in at the time.

So there is a countdown on your Model... What happens after the countdown?

Also the microSD should be formatted as fat32 and not NTFS.

Suffice it to say that the pad at no time before or after the countdown begins is there any notificafion about the system updating. To answer your question, the countdown finishes and the normal boot begins. SD card is FAT32 formatted. i have tried both SD card slots just to be sure and no luck. Thoughts? Thanks in advance.

The Superpad III is a clone of the iBex Flytouch3 ->

Buyer Beware! Superpad III, Flytouch 4 are NOT Flytouch 3 - Only Clones!!

More people with superpad III have been reporting bugs on that forum than ones with FT3, just so you know the iBex FT3 may be a few dollars more, but it is technically more stable... not to mention the iBex comes in 16gb now...

16gb Flytouch 3 Epad Takes On iPad 2 for Tablet Dominance

Thanks for letting me know, my friend got burned with this.... Seller said it was an IBex Flytouch 3 and it didn't even say flytouch 3 on the box! My friend got his a non-iBex "Superpai III" clone and it only had a 5000mah battery and g-sensor was not working. He had to pay for return shipping back to China which costed like $40.

I was able to get a refund from the fake seller and was able to get an original 16gb iBex Flytouch 3. I am pretty happy with it. Has a 8000mah battery as advertised.

Only quam is the screen is 1020x576 instead of 1020x600. I got mine from 16GB Flytouch 3 Superpad 2 - Android 2.2 Flash 10.1 3G GPS Tablet PC $236.99

I am hoping flash firmware without any hitches. Looks like I will need to find a 576 firmware? Any suggestions on which one should use?

help again please I have copied the 2 tim3a files to a sd card ( previously formatted to fat32 ) placed it into the flytouch and booted and all I get is the normal boot screen .
What am I doing wrong ?

Hi,

Your probably doing nothing wrong. Try using a different MicroSD card. There are alot of fake cards getting around out there. I know i have one fake 32gb and if i try to use it to update it doesn't work and just boots. I use another 4gb to flash ROMs.

Cheers. :)

Hello, i encounter the same things AND nothing works.

In fact, after 1 week of trying ALL things to update, (for short saying)

i'm at this point :

"Currently the device hangs at the INFOTMIC screen, and does not continue. Pressing bak+home+power brings me to the restore menu, but then it hangs at 1 second. Pressing within the 5 seonds back+home, it give a message that no recovery is found, try from SD."

In fact, we have to know which keys we have to push to do the upgrade, the tablet REQUIRE the f***ing keys TO if not, he never accept to upgrade...

OR we have to make a bootable SD card who launch the upgrade but i don't know how

If anyone have THE correct solution, is going to be "the king of kings" !

Sorry if i'm rude, but after reading undred post who many people says the same things, i'm a little upset.

No the sd card don't boot by imself, no pressing home+power work, no bootloader on the root of the sd card don't work, etc etc etc ....

For the record, i have a superpad II and with the sameS (i have 3 sd card, silicon power and sandisk) micro sd card, I do the upgrade, but in the superpad III NO.

Can we be certain that the TIM 3A Rom does not require the superpad 3 to be rooted before attempting the install? Are there multiple versions of the ROM floating around?

I can confirm TIM3A doesn't require rooting before updating. There are multiple versions of TIM's ROMs around 3a,3b,3c,3d etc. 3A i find is the most stable and fluid ROM.
