I know it's just the lotus I have just always said purple so people know which phone I was talking about. LOL! But it's so nice to have my EVO back. But mine has 2.2 and she said I won't get the GB update for at least a week that everyone else is getting it 1st but I don't care about that. I just use my phone for everything and 3 weeks was too long to be without it.Do you know if I redownload Handcent and Zedge and if I have a Handcent and Zedge folder backed up from my old EVO will my settings on Handcent come back for people and will my Zedge wallpaper and ringtones be back? Sorry I know this isn't the thread to ask in?

You been making me LOL for the past week and half. Every time you talk about that lotus you always say purple lotus and never just lotus, I don't know why but I just find that funny as hell. Anyway I am glad you got an evo back in anticipation of the the 3vo and not have to worry about that purple lotus any more.

For Gingerbread, you can do a manual update. I did it Friday, when I picked up my placeholder EVO. Go to Setting/System Updates/HTC software update and click on 'Check Now' at the bottom. The update is 109 MB, if I remember correctly.

For Handcent and Zedge, if it is anything like my Financisto, it should work. You should just need to replace the contents of the new folder with that which is in your backup. However, if settings are manually configured and not saved to a file in that backup, you may need to reconfigure.

I tired to manual get it when I got the phone but now all of a sudden it popped up for me to get and it's getting it now. Thanks I'll check it out.
