Help Message tone issue

Hey guys,

I've been facing a very peculiar issue with my Galaxy S ever since I bought it in November last year. If I get a text message while I'm on a call, the text message tone actually plays out aloud (whilst I'm on the call!!) as a result of which I can barely hear the person on the other side. I have to either put the phone on silent (vibration) mode before answering/making a call or do the same while on the call. Either ways, it's extremely irritating.

Anybody else facing the same issue? Anyone know the solution to this problem? I had Froyo 2.1 when I got the phone and I'm currently running Gingerbread 2.3.3 and the problem has persisted right through. A friend of mine just got the S2 and the problem doesn't exist there.

Goto Settings > Call Settings > All calls, then scroll down to Alerts on call and set to Off or Vibrate.
