Facebook + Data usage

I just got the HTC inspire and on the facebook app it does not save your username or password. I dont want to stay logged in because I only have 200 gb per month of data. I deactiavated all notifications. Does this mean facebook will only use data when i open it.

That depends on how often you have it syncing. This also depends on what other apps your phone is syncing as well. Go to menu-settings-accounts and sync, and turn off or turn down any apps you dont need syncing. For example, my phone had News and Stocks syncing every hour out of the box, both things i didn't need at all.

If you are really worried about it, and to be honest if you only have 200mb, that goes quick, just completely turn off your 3g when not using it. You can put a widget on the homescreen to easily do it.

Hey buddy. I also use 200MB per month, and that's PLENTY for me. I use Facebook 24/7 also, and i leave it on, hardly uses anything. P.S I don't understand how people can use 2+ GB's per month, what the heck!

I use 3gb a month, and the only thing i really do is email, and check facebook and twitter. Maybe a youtube video every few days too. Data can be used up VERY quickly, especially if you have a lot of things syncing.

I use about 3 gb a month ... I stream music at work though, it uses a lot of data
