Root starting to get worried please help

ok ive had my evo for a while now and all of sudden i cant flash roms let me make that more clear someone roms will flash but when i reboot my phone will sit at the white htc evo screen and wont move and some roms wont flash at all the little progress bar will never move.
Now i can get into hboot and recovery which im running
RA v2.3.
Yes i have S-off
hboot 2.10
i updated my radios to 2.15
and i can use a backup to get to a full working rom but its just when i go flash a new one my phone has problems i use calkulins format all and i do all the default things that i have to wipe in RA so never thought i would say this but i have no idea what the problem is please help!

what roms have you tried? how long are you waiting? some of these new roms at least for me have taking quite a bit longer then the froyo roms. so i would be patient and let it do its thing.

The main ones that i have tried have been synergy roms and i understand that they take a while but i hit install zip from sd card on RA and clicked one of the Synergy roms and it didnt do anything for 10minutes and RA has the prgress bar in the back and it didnt do anything either it stayed black the entire time... and it will sit on the Bright white HTC evo screen for about 5-10 minutes and thats when i decide to go ahead and pull battery and boot into recovery.. i can try and just install a zip and just let my phone sit for a good 20mintues to make 100% sure that it isn't that im inpatient. lol

I've heard it can take more than 20 minutes sometimes.

i have had the synergy-kingdom rom sit for30-35 minutes before anything happened. i would be more patient and amon ra to install it. give it more time.

ok ill install it and just let it sit and see what happens and btw do you guys know why it takes sssooooo much longer than other roms?

These newer Rome are a lot larger than what we're used to flashing. It takes a substantial amount of time to build the dalvik cache when it boots the first time. I hope that's the rub of your issue, and not something more serious.

yeah last night i flashed synergy nightly and i let let my phone sit for 15-20minutes and then it finally finished im having problems with the rom but i believe thats software problems not hardware does it matter if my phone sits on the White HTC evo screen and doesn't move for like 10+ minutes i havnt flashed one of the roms that had that problem with yet so i dont know if just waiting will fix that or if their is a problem their...

as long as your wiping correctly then just waiting should be fine. which synergy are you trying to flash? if it is synergy rc2 w/ godmode then myn says that it should take 10-30 minutes to boot.

When I installed synergy it just sat there for about 25 to 30 min with the progress bar at less than half then all of a sudden boom... It was done, so is say charge your battery to full and be patient
