I'm really confused on to flash kernels and where to find them and do I have to wipe cacheand everything or just pick from SD card then reboot I got root finally I looked on root for dummies help please

Thanks again for all you do guys its awesome

check out the stickies at the top of this forum.

you can get the kernels from the http://androidforums.com/evo-4g-all-things-root/284413-roms-kernels-download-page.html sticky.

and here is the kernel guide sticky:http://androidforums.com/evo-4g-all-things-root/389360-kernels-dummies.html

there is currently only two kernels for gingerbread sense roms, but there are aosp kernels for gingerbread aosp roms.

just make sure that you have sense kernels for sense roms and aosp kernels for aosp roms.

What about froyo kernels with aosp are they universal with gingerbread aosp

kernels are very specific. so make sure that you know what you are downloading. froyo goes with froyo roms and aosp kernels go with aosp roms. some kernels are universal. main thing is to know what you are about to flash. do some reading and research. also i would check the changelog as well.

sorry one more question when rooting the new gingerbread way do i have to download clockwork before hand or does it already have it on there if i do how do i do that.

rooting with revolutionary gives you clockwork mod. if you want to switch recoveries ( i highly recommend amon ra 2.3) you can check out the guide. i added a how to switch recoveries section.

ugh so my beta key is not working i download 3 different times tried different usb's i have copied and pasted still no go any suggestions

from what i hear the key is very specific and it is also case sensitive. write it down or make sure everything is how it should be. not sure other then that at the moment.

Make sure it is exactly PC36IMG.zip . Windows hides extensions so be careful not to name it .zip.zip by accident.
