I've done it, and I've chatted with 2 CSR reps to confirm, and saved the transcripts. According to them, you should have up to 30 days from when you activate your flip phone to reactivate a smart phone, and call Verizon to reapply your unlimited data.

As always, I suggest you either chat with them or call them and have them note it on your account that you have 30 days to reactivate a smartphone and apply an unlimited plan.

Edit: If you want me to post the transcripts I can, i need to dig them out of gmail though.

Probably so, but I've read too many horror stories on here to risk it. But you're right, if you go that route have a rep notate it on your acct. In fact I would talk to multiple reps

Awesome, back to a flip phone I go. Can't get the mobile network to work on my OG Droid after doing the RSD back to stock thing.

After the RSD flash to stock, did you factory reset and wipe cache BEFORE booting up? Also, I've found the Linux bootable CD as a more effective way of flashing my DX than using Windows, if you can find the ISO file for the OG.

Off topic, but I did that RSD thing to my OG droid, and now I can't get my network to work. Can't receive/make calls, can't message, and can't do data unless I'm on wifi. I've "activated" like 4 times, and still nothing.

Please help...I'll have to go back to my flip phone if I can't get this to work. :(

Dude, you're seriously in the wrong forum for all of these off-topic OG Droid questions. Please try here or one of the OG Droid subforums before the mods start deleting your posts! :)

Is this gonna be a last man standing contest? I expected 16GB up until the last day or two (32GB being a bonus if true) and MTP's fine with me. I'm still psyched and eagerly awaiting.
Looks to be the case, its gonna be really rough for me since my current phone is almost useless.....and I really don't want to pay the $70 in fees to rent a phone. I need help :(

To be honest I don't have a problem with Verizon carrying a 16GB personally. I do have a problem with them charging $299 for it. I had already decided if they carried both I would buy the 16GB to save a little cash.

100% with you on that. give me the 16gb for $199 or even $249 and i would still take it over a 32gb for $299.

Uh, they kissed in 4 AND 5 ;)

Just keep in mind that Episode I kind of establishes the tone of the saga. It is considered by most to be the worst of the 6, and the story REALLY starts in Episode II.

I cannot imagine Verizon sending back a bunch of 32GB Nexi and replacing them with 16GB Nexi. We have to wait & see, of course, but I'm banking on 32GB.

I'm REALLY banking on 32GB. I need it!
