Hey there...Are you still having trouble? I don't know anything about IHO roms, but I'm the member MacFett referenced who just suffered woe with the "new screen" flash failure.
If you read my last post in the Summary thread MacFett linked above, you'll find some instructions on how to check whether you have the new screen. (post #66 on page two:
http://androidforums.com/optimus-v-...mary-tale-my-first-rom-recovery-switch-2.html)
It took me a while to get back into my phone after my first black screen failure...it finally worked when I pulled the battery, held down power button for 30 seconds and re-installed battery and then powered into recovery. From there, can you restore a backup? If not, you'll likely need to flash a new recovery from your current recovery. You can flash a zip if you can download it to your sd card.
AndyOpie helped me a TON yesterday with this process, which is documented in the my other thread,
http://androidforums.com/optimus-v-...p-middle-flashing-first-rom-black-screen.html. Look specifically at his post #3 in that thread, it has some very helpful links...read the Fix Black Screen one (
[FIX]Black screen with custom recovery and custom roms - Android Forums at AndroidCentral.com).
I recommend the Bob Zhome recovery, which you can find here:
https://github.com/inferiorhumanorgans/android_device_lge_thunderc/wiki/Binary
Look at this graph:
New Info: BobZhome built a version of IHO recovery with a kernel compatible with the newer OV screens.
Now uploaded to the wiki. IHO-Recovery-Works-With-New-Screens
(Bob’s recovery has been tested by Bigsupersquid on a new OV and worked for him without any noticeable issues.)
I'm no expert, but I can empathize with your situation and would love to help if I can...others here are much better equipped to help, though, so I'm sure you'll get this worked out!
