It is looking like some people are possibly getting the OTA update. One person even posted a pic.

It seems that the software version ends in a .12 instead of .10 like the leak. Does this now mean that phones with the leak will get the OTA?

that is correct. the official OTA ends in .12 instead of .10.

also correct,phone running .10 will not recieve the OTA.

a leak for .12 was not released to the public,since the differences are minor. i would still wait for an official ruu to appear in footballs filefactory folder FileFactory Folder View - Vigor before running one

Well, here is some potentially not so good news for people who installed the leak and are not S-OFF. Apparently, you will not get the OTA update. Well, at least not right away. Then again, if you installed the leak, you probably aren't too worried about the update.

I,have two lines both rezound on..line ha th .10 leak and.the.other is stock. I called ave an the tier two treo also had her rezound an..ran the update on both and no update yet.... But he rezound had a pre update of seven megs

I literally just installed the .10 leak. Got sick of waiting. Looks like I might be reinstalling again pending changelog.

What I am saying is that a rep at Verizon said her rezound had an update that is seven megs and gets the device ready for ice cream sandwich. I am currently on the leak build .ten on line one and on stock gingerbread on line two. Both phones have not said an update is, available yet. I think the line one which has the leak may have to wait for an ruu.

Looks like the official update is going to come pretty soon. I guess we'll see over the next few days/weeks/months. Friggin' Verizon. No matter what happens, I still say this is all on them. I'm sure they had to change stuff to make their bloatware work or figure out how to release it without someone getting a hold of of the file to share. Seriously, I wish HTC could just build their own and send it out in a .zip file, bypassing Verizon entirely. Maybe once VZW decides to EOL the Rezound, we can crank this baby up to its full potential.

Has anyone here ever received a major OS update BEFORE the official rollout? If so, have you ever seen a booster file get pushed right beforehand? I'm glad I installed the .10 leak early now, because I almost don't trust this 7 MB file. It's like they're sending out scout programs to see who is "worthy" of testing it. That's probably not the case, but whatever.

If my complaint with the FTC does anything at all, maybe I'll find out what the heck their policies are. Doubt it.

Now that is finally being released, let's all please just drop the "me first" attitude and just be thankful it's getting the update at all. Since I installed the leak, I probably won't get the latest, official OTA until the very end. But you won't see me complain about it.

That being said, I would like to sideload 3.14.605.12, so if it becomes an option I'll go for it. Rest assured, I'll share any info I find.

Its in the thread "Leak Question" in the root subforum if your looking for it. He says the updater scripts look for VALID releases only. Which is way different from what I've experienced in the past where it only looked to see if you where on an older build?
I just want to know why if this .12 has been out there for 2 weeks no one has come up with a changelog? I want to know if I care or not whether I have the official

If we start releasing every tiny little increment, a man (and users) can go nuts. Too much choice is not always a good thing.
