Root Dirty Unicorns 2.1

Hm, that's a problem I haven't had. the ony problem I really have is the reboot issue, and random bits of lag here and there. but that's calemd down after a few days.
Do you think my problem could possibly be related to kernal tuner? I know a lot of people have some problems with it.

I've been using Kernel Tuner latest 4.7.7.1 without any problems so I wager it's not it.

Have you raised the clockspeed? If you raise it too high it could cause random reboots. I've always leave it at 1512Mhz and raise the min clock to 486MHz as having it at 192MHz can sometimes cause lagging issues.

What governor are you using?

I'm using lagfree, and yes I have raised my clock speed too the maximum of 1782 but my phones handled 1834 with no issue before on previous roms so I don;t think that's it.

Why would you keep your phone at 1782? There's really no advantage to it. When you playing a graphic intensive game then that might help but for normal usage leaving the clockspeed high does nothing but consume more of your battery.

Maybe using lagfree is causing it, try another governor and see if the problem persists.

Is anyopne else having a problem where the phone just randomly shuts down, like after pressing the lock button?
I press the lock button again to use my phone and I notice that it's shut itself off without notice and I have to power it back on again.

I've had a somewhat similar problem.

Sometimes I'll press the power button to wake it up and it will take a good 30-60 seconds for the thing to wake up.

I have also been getting a ton of random reboots lately. Sometimes the phone will lock up and I know it is going to reboot. Other times it will just randomly reboot when I am not even using it.

Maybe it's time to look for a new rom :/

Edit - 2.0 is out, maybe that will fox all the problems we seem to be having. :)

I forgot about the other problem I am having.

I can turn Wifi on once with no problem. Once I turn it off when I don't need it on anymore and then go to turn it on again. It will just sit there and say turning on Wifi. Only way to get it to turn on is to restart the phone. Anyone else experiencing this problem? I don't remember having that problem when I first flashed the rom.

I still have yet to wipe Delvik and see if that fixes anything. But 2.0 is out now so I'll flash that soon :)

i have this issue both on mazda's aokp 4.1.2 AND 4.2.2 roms...these are the only two roms i run so i cant say how isolated it is.

i have to reboot before i can toggle wifi again, it appears to be an intermittent problem but i've been noticing it for a few months now on my phone.

hboot 1.50

Help from the Android Geeks or Droids: As per posting from Team Dirt website seems to be "possible" issue with Dirty Unicorns since the kernel change. I have the same problems as he mentions in his post. I have wiped all but my sd card option and even formatted my sd card after moving copy to my pc and making nandroid backup. But gets stuck in loop with dirty unicorns logo. But as stated in hippie459mn's posting below, we can restore v1.8 and works just fine. As pointed out by lakersdroid, may be certain htc evo 3d or 4g phones.

So my question is, can we flash the new v2.0 and then flash the evervolv kernel that was working with v1.8?? That or any other suggestions!!!!

Hippie459mn posting from teamdirt site:

v1.9.1 hated my phone! I think it was the kernel but I can not 100% confirm this but based on past experiences with my phone and non stock kernels with my phone I am leaning towards the kernel. It would not want to wake up from screen off a lot, it would have moments of major lag, would have to put it in and out of airplane mode the majority of the time after a phone call to get my data back (Could never tell when it was working or not cause the icon is/was always blue now) and then yesterday while out of town for work, it was just acting completely goofy so I went to reboot it and stuck at the boot screen and no matter what I did could not get past it so I restored back to a v1.8.2 and that booted and have been on that and working great again. I just got home and am downloading v2.0 right now and going to give that a go and see what happens. I would have loved to grab a catlog to see what was going on but I was no where near a computer and I coulnt even get bast the boot screen. Eventually after 15 min I just gave up and restored from a back up as I needed my phone till I could get home. lol

So, I've always loved aokp but there seems to be issues with this ROM.... Can anyone who has clean flashed 2.0 tell me what issues you're encountering? I would like to know if they'll affect they way I use my phone on a daily basis. Cuz if not, I'll go ahead and flash it. Also, will I have to change the MMS settings to get MMS working? Or is there a simpler method? Thank you guys for any help given. It is extremely appreciated. :)

Yes this rom is stable enough and those minor quirks don't affect it. It's a daily! :p

You do need to flash the MMS+vvm fix to get mms and voicmail working.

I'm having a problem with my cpu clock speeds not sticking. It's anyone else having this issue. It'll slow down dramatically and even freeze up , and ill go to the performance settings to find that it's clocked to Max 384. I have to keep bumping it back up constantly. Other than that, this Rom is fantastic!

This has happened to me once. But hasn't happened to me since.
