sorry guys was having trouble with my toolchain last night, building a 4.3 build right now

I just tried this and it seems to hang at the LG bootloader screen, and thats all.

Hey guys I'm sorry to put this in this forum but I'm not getting any responses anywhere else..I switched to the Spectrum 2 as my main phone (still want to flash that 4.3 on my Spec) - are there any ROMs or ways to unlock the bootloader on it? I'm running 4.1.2 right now stock - don't want to security error the phone again...plus it's incredibly stable..anyways if someone wants to p.m.me that's fine too I just really want to know, thanks!

You might want to check in the spectrum 2 forums. I don't know of any way to unlock it's bootloader but they would know more.

He'd have to pull recovery.log via adb while in TWRP to get you more details.

I'm willing to bet that there's just something wrong in the zip though. Like the filename changed between the img you're using and the one being called in the script maybe... or some problem with the meta data in the zip.

I'm sure it's this particular zip also as TWRP can flash other zips fine.

It flashed fine this time but got stuck at LG screen X 15 min. requiring battery pull and restore from nandroid (TWRP 2.6.0.0, PACE 4.3, Verizon). Reboot did not solve hanging problem. Looks like this kernel is not compatible with PACE 4.3

dont you just hate it when your building a rom and your family looks at it and says "whoa this isnt windows something must be wrong", then they power off the computer and boot up to windows and your build is interrupted...

Sorry, feel your pain too, made me snicker... (3 kids, grown now, but...brings back memories if you know what I mean)

it should be compatible, its just something is messed up in the build, or zip file, ill get another build up tonight, becuase it was also stuck at boot for the chamOS build

try twrp 2.6.0.0 or cwm touch, the zip flashed fine for me in cwm so it must be the recovery

That means that it's failing the Assert at the begining of the zip's install script.

Can someone look at the first line of the install script for this, and let me know what it says?

I modified TWRP to match the values in TDM's CM10.2 zips, as for some reason its looking for the build properties to be vs920 NOT i_vzw as per the device tree's build.prop overrides

The assert line looks for vs920 so change your build.prop lines ro product device to vs920 instead of I_vzw and maybe ro product board also to vs920, then you can change back if you want to

Editing build.prop did not solved "failed" message when trying to flash. I like TWRP 2.6.3.0 and won't go backward just to try new kernel
