Galaxy Nexus Watering Hole

Well, I went picked up 2 LG G2's - one for the wife and I.

I did the device payment plan thing. That was an interesting trip to Big Red. I was in the store for nearly 2 and a half hours. Nearly took 40 minutes just to get someone to come talk to me.

Then by the time they get everything done, they ended up charging me an extra $100. Another half hour later, and only a half hour from missing my sons doctors appointment, they finally said we'll take a look and if we made a mistake we'll call you and put the money back on your card.

They called nearly 4 hours later to say, yup we shouldn't have done that. Ya Think???

So they are going to put the $100 as a credit on my account.

I swear, if I knew more people around me that used T-Mobile, and if I knew they had great coverage around here, it would be worth moving just to get another nexus. But I need coverage.

Now I am off to find out how to root these beasts.

Congrats on the G2s. I had a hard time at the store too because they tried to tell me I would lose unlimited. Rooting and flashing recovery is fairly easy. Although I should say I had a bit of trouble with root because I forgot one detail.

Happy Wednesday, folks!

It IS Wednesday, isn't it? I have to look at a calendar anymore...

All the BF flyers are being leaked and I'm getting my Black Friday strategy list together. I tell ya, nothing brings out the best and worst in humanity like Black Friday at Walmart! Like Bonnaroo, you gotta experience it AT LEAST ONCE:D

Hope it warms up soon... it's 21 here

Have a great day!

How much are you paying and what kind of plans are they offering.

I'm done with big red too, now that we're coming up on 2 years with Gnez...

Yep! Plus I'm saving about $50 a month.

I was thinking about it a few weeks back, but was skeptical of the signal strength. Well my friend just made the jump to T-Mobile from AT&T, and we took a drive yesterday to my house, my job, and generally all of the places we go around town. 4 to 5 bars of LTE constantly. We ran speed tests on my Verizon handset and his, and his just blew mine away.

I called Verizon to see if they'd match or throw in some perks, and of course they wouldn't budge.

I was actually hoping they wouldn't budge. Now I get unlockable bootloaders, the option to upgrade twice a year if I want, and don't have to wait 6 months for Verizon to get what everyone else already has.

Not to mention the Nexus line, if I so choose.

Ah! It's like I'm waking up from a horrible nightmare!!
