Get ready for OTA!!! (Build 494 and Software number 605.2)

Same story. Update was waiting for me when I picked up the phone this morning. This could be notable or nothing at all but the phone was charging and fully charged when I picked it up this morning and applied the update. The update process lasted ~2 minutes. When the phone rebooted, my battery was down to 91%. The update didn't use 9% of my battery in 2 minutes so I'm thinking there's something going on from the software side relative to the battery.

Bear in mind that the numeric reading of remaining battery life is rarely accurate; in this phone, it seems like the first 20% goes pretty fast, then the next 50% goes alot slower, and the final 30% seems to take longer as well..
Every smart phone I have had in the last 15 years had the same issue with reading out remaining battery life, versus how much was actually remaining..

I woke up to the update! An hour after, Signal strength still sucks, made 2 test calls And hear absolutely no difference in call quality, anotherwards both are still terrible! So not happy now with this phone right now , and even more so at Verizon for not picking this up in there testing for the device. How on earth do you release a phone that can't do the number one thing its supposed to do? Not to add salt to any wounds, but I am noticing a lot of reception problems coming out of HTC's camp with there last 2 big USA releases. One being the nexus one, and now the Incredible! Not cool Boys and Girls....

If someone gets the update, can you please do this before you accept it. and post the logcat.txt? Please this may help rooting.

How to get the URL for the OTA zip the following way:

Run logcat on the pc and accept the update on the phone

$ adb logcat > logcat_accept.txt

This will sit like this (it continues to log output into the output file) until the phone reboots. At that point, the adb logcat job will terminate, and the name of the zip file will be indicated in the logfile in a message similar to:

W/SystemUpdateHelper( 64): !!! REBOOTING TO INSTALL /cache/

You should see a link in the file like https: //android.clients.google.com/updates/partner/*****

Thank you for whoever can get this done

where is this file located?
