Root [Virgin Mobile/Sprint] Unbrick VM/Sprint F3

Great tutorial! I've used it a couple times now.
Unfortunately, it looks like oudhitsquad.com is down now, and I can't for the life of me find another copy of the dll and firmware.

Anybody know if it's uploaded elsewhere?

http://www.4shared.com/get/-iD_qaNVce/LG_F3_Flash_utilitymegalockdll.html

You might need an account to download this. But it's free.
Update: thanks to berribunny: Just use this to download the 4shared links:
Go to http://4server.info/ to download.

I saved my files when I flashed my rom. That were downloaded from oudhitsquad.com.

LGLS720_20130509_LGFLASHv151.dll
MegaLock.dll
Setup_LGFlashTool_1.5.10.1120.exe

About the firmware, I only saved one of them. And that's this:
LS720ZV6_03.bin
http://www.4shared.com/file/CGQyxQCrce/LS720ZV6_03binzip.html
http://www.4shared.com/file/6M1crb3_ce/LS720ZV6_03binzip.html
http://www.4shared.com/file/bXZMlUFoce/LS720ZV6_03binzip.html
http://www.4shared.com/file/CqsARHCgce/LS720ZV6_03binzip.html

I split it into 4 zip parts. Just download and extract the .bin
In there is a rtf with checksum values for the bin file, make sure they are the same values before using the bin.

Note: You might have to use 7-zip to extract this, just make sure all 4 files 001-004 are in the same directory, right click on the first one. Choose 7-zip, and extract here.

Let me know if you want me to upload this. Otherwise someone could get in touch with
#oudhitsquad on Freenode irc. That is if they are around. To see what's going on and to see if you can get other versions.

I downloaded the LG flash application and it says "LGusb/parallel lock key not detected"

Sounds like you need the Megalock.dll
That needs to go into "C:\LG\LGFlashTool"
I'm not 100% sure, but that's what I remember.

None of the links in the original post work and I honestly don't understand the other posts with the links. Is there a guide with working links to unbrick the Virgin Mobile Lg F3.
I can read and follow directions, but everything that's here is all disjointed and out of date; I don't want to mess my phone up more than it already is.
I'm not even sure if my phone is bricked even though I'm pretty sure it is.
All I know is I had a billing issue with VM. I did get it straightened out, but my phone tried doing the hands free activation thing several times unsuccessfully. I used their number to reactivate my phone and it mostly worked, I could make calls and texts, but no data. So I restarted my phone and I had NO service at all!!
I tried the other steps they gave me, but I have a service disabled error.
I can't exactly tell VM CS I rooted my phone and nothing works, so I'm relying on y'all to help me out.

Even if the original links on page 1 worked. You are still going to have to struggle a little. As the community in this section seems to be some what lackluster from what it used to be.

What version do you want that's outdated?

I need to know what to download for Version 8. Every site I go to for help seems to point me back here *sigh*

*UPDATE*
I read everything again, twice, and I think I've got it figured out. I'll have to try to get the files from 4 share tomorrow when everyone's gone because they're taking way too long to dl with everyone hogging my bandwidth.
VM is still dicking around with my case, so this whole ordeal might be moot. I'll get a cup and string to communicate with before I get another VM phone.

After much tearing of hair and gnashing of teeth, I finally found everything I needed. Thanks to Kasenomatru for the V7.
I ran everything and it worked great until I got to the end. It got the the last reboot and I got an error and it says fail.
The rotten phone works, so unless this is a bad thing, I'm done messing with it.

Didn't you want Version 8? Could you find the Version 8 bin?

Yeah, it will say fail after you get to a certain percentage (on the LG flash software) and unplug the phone. But it really didn't fail. Glad you got it working.

Please Help!!

I've read the instructions three times, have tried alternate methods of unbricking my cell phone, and I am currently trying to download the firmware that serealnewbie posted. I have the DLL file and the LG Driver downloaded already.

UPDATE!!:: Downloaded the firmware! MegaLock.dll is downloaded, I have the LGFlashTool but when I run the FlashTool it says something about not having a USB lock key??? I'm soooo confused!
Have attempted to unzip the firmware files using 7zip, unsuccessful. I'm so confused! I just want my phone to work again!

The only thing I've done to my phone is root it using StumpRoot 4-5 months back only so I can use Link2SD. Of course, you all know how little internal storage there is on the phone and how there is no option to move applications to SD so that's why I rooted my phone. I also rooted my friends phone for Link2SD, he has an Optimus F6 and thus far he has had no problems with it.

My phone bricked last night. I was using the application Kik, nothing was downloading, everything was fine. It was at 9% but I had yet to put it on the charger. My phone froze, which it does frequently but it only freezes for a few seconds. An error message popped up saying Kik isn't responding do you want to close it, so I tried clicking OK. It wouldn't allow me to.

I took the battery out and put it back in, then tried booting up my phone again. It got stuck in a boot loop. I just decided put my phone on the charger finally. I went to sleep with it in the boot loop and when I woke up, it was fully charged but still in loop. So I went scouring the internet for some help and found this with the links broken.

The first thing I found which was incredibly simple was the hard reset. So I tried that, it reset perfectly fine, but still got stuck in boot loop. I've had this phone for almost nine months, but I don't know if my parents purchased it with a warranty as it was a Christmas gift.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!! As I said, I haven't done anything extremely drastic with my phone and I have everything I need to flash my phone, it's just not working properly or perhaps it's some sort of user error with me >.<

I am about to try out serealnewbie's links. I am having similar issues as cynicalvalleys (softbrick/bootloops). But before I go down this road, I must ask: Is there a way to unbrick the phone from my nandroid backups or Titanium backups? I saved them to both my external SD and my PC before this happened.

Well, I think the problem might be this.

http://www.4shared.com/get/-iD_qaNVce/LG_F3_Flash_utilitymegalockdll.html

I would download this link. Unzip it. And there is a folder called:

"LG F3 Flash Utility wrong one but might need megalock here"

You need to take that megalock file and replace the one in the directory where LG Flash Tool is installed.

"(C:\LG\LGFlashTool)"

As for why you aren't able to unzip the "firmware files using 7zip", I'm not sure what the problem is. Did you make sure you downloaded all of the parts, and unzip them in the same directory?
So you have this in the same folder:

LS720ZV6_03.bin.zip.001
LS720ZV6_03.bin.zip.002
LS720ZV6_03.bin.zip.003
LS720ZV6_03.bin.zip.004

Right click on the first one, and click unzip.

Well, I'm not sure yet. But is your nandroid backup TWRP, or CWM?
And can you get into it?

It's CWM, but I hadn't re-installed CWM onto my phone after it's last couple accidental factory resets. -_-; I'm trying the various volume + power button key combinations at startup to try to get into recovery, but either I don't know the correct one, or I am doing it wrong. : p
